The Institute operates at the Mersin University Çiftlikköy Campus, Yenişehir/Mersin.
Through its diverse graduate programs, the Institute of Social Sciences aims to train qualified researchers and specialists across various disciplines. By engaging in education, teaching, and research activities, the Institute seeks to contribute to the academic and social development of our country while gaining recognition and prestige at both national and international levels in graduate education.
The Institute employs a total of three academic staff members — one Director and two Vice Directors — as well as one Research Assistant currently serving within the Department of Psychology.
Administratively, the Institute’s staff includes one Secretary, two Chiefs, two Computer Operators, one Attendant, and two Permanent Workers, bringing the total to nine administrative personnel.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Institute of Social Sciences is to train researchers and specialists who are aware of the needs of our country, sensitive to the requirements of the modern era, equipped with problem-solving and critical thinking skills, capable of effectively applying knowledge production processes in their fields, and who contribute to the universal accumulation of knowledge at both national and international levels.
OUR VISION
The vision of our Institute is to be one of the leading institutes in Turkey that, within the fields of social, human, and administrative sciences, educates academicians, researchers, and expert personnel needed by higher education institutions as well as other research and service organizations — all within the framework of internationally accepted standards.
