GENERAL INFORMATION

The Mersin University Energy Technologies Application and Research Center was established in accordance with the Regulation on the Mersin University Energy Technologies Application and Research Center, published in the Official Gazette No. 30591 dated 10 November 2018. The Center conducts its activities with the aim of carrying out fundamental and applied research in the field of energy technologies, strengthening scientific infrastructure, promoting collaboration among universities, industry, and public institutions, and contributing to the research and development capacity of our country in energy technologies. The Center operates on the Prof. Dr. Ali Ayhan Campus of Mersin University.

VISION

To become a leading application and research center recognized nationally and internationally for its scientific research, technological development, and innovative applications in the field of energy technologies, producing sustainable solutions in nuclear energy, clean and renewable energy, energy storage, energy efficiency, energy planning, and energy management.

MISSION

The mission of the Energy Technologies Application and Research Center is to conduct fundamental and applied research in line with the priorities of our country in the field of energy, provide a scientific environment and infrastructure for the development of energy technologies, support interdisciplinary research, and contribute to transforming research and development outcomes into economic and societal benefits.

The Center aims to develop methods, processes, and technologies in the fields of nuclear energy, alternative and conventional energy technologies, clean and renewable energy sources, energy storage, energy efficiency, and energy management. It also seeks to establish long-term collaborations among public institutions, private sector organizations, non-governmental organizations, and universities, while contributing to the education of qualified human resources and the promotion of public awareness in the field of energy.
